This class is perfect for those who have never crocheted or have not crocheted in a long while and need a refresher. Participants are introduced to basic stitches, creating the foundation chain, changing colors, and weaving in ends. With a focus on learning how to follow a pattern, students will work up a small pouch with a button closure using what they learn in class.

After-though heels are worked after a sock tube is completed. They allow for custom fit and/or contrast or patterning separate from the sock foot and leg. In this class you will work a small afterthought heel sample and learn about the various ways they can be constructed. Instructional digital handout included. Materials and homework: Teacher will send a email out.

Hands-on format: you can work along with the instructor. This class will teach you all you need to know to knit in the round using Magic Loop, a great way to work small circumferences like socks, hats, mittens and gloves without using double points or two circulars. You will learn how to cast on and knit with a long circular needle and come away with the beginning of a fingerless mitt. Pattern included with class materials. No homework. Class must have at leasts 2 students for the class to make.

Participants build upon the skills learned in The Basics I and learn how to work the double, treble, front post, and back post stitches. Written and diagram pattern reading skills continue to be developed as well as changing colors, working in the round, and weaving in ends. Students learn how to make a variety of granny squares which can be worked into a blanket as a take-home project.

In this class you will learn to create right and left twisted cables as well as honeycomb. We will also look at patterns and charts and discuss materials and tools. Hourglass cable pattern will be provided to begin your practice sample.

This is a follow-up to my stockinette class, to participate you must know how to cast on, bind off, knit, and purl. In this class students will learn to make lace using yarnovers and left or right leaning decreases in both knit and purl rows. We will look at lace patterns and charts and discuss materials and tools. Zigzag lace pattern will be provided to begin your practice sample.

Unravel the confusion about mosaic crochet! This class focuses on the inset mosaic technique, sometimes called 2-row Mosaic, which differs from overlay mosaic. Participants will learn and practice how to read the inset mosaic charts while working up a few mosaic swatches. A mosaic scarf is begun in class and completed at home for the class project.

Hands-on format: you can work along with the instructor. If you know how to knit in the round, all you need to learn to knit a pair of socks is how to turn a heel and finish the toe. It is easier than you think and works like magic! In this class, you will learn all the parts of a traditional cuff-down sock and the math to be able to knit it for any foot with any weight of yarn. You will knit a baby sock, step-by-step, from the heel flap and gusset to the toe decrease and graft to finish it. You will come away with a basic pattern and full instructions that you can use to make socks for anyone! This is the class Denise took to learn knitted socks. The orange sock in the picture is from this class. Denise chose to make a shorter leg.

Come learn how to make lace with a shuttle! I will teach you how to make a double stitch, form chains and rings as well as how to follow a pattern. If you ever wondered how your Great Grandma made those fascinating loopy lace doilies and the sweet little baby bonnets that have been passed down through generations this is the class for you.
