Does working in the round give you trouble? Wonder why the edges of your circle get wavy or sometimes pucker? Make a Better Beanie focuses on working in the round. Whether it is a motif, beanie, hot pad, market bag, rug, or even a granny square, many crocheted items begin with a circle. While it is simple in concept, execution can present many issues along the way. Crafters learn how to create a magic circle, keep a straight seam when increasing, and make a ribbed brim to add that professional touch.

It is perfect as an introduction to colorwork because only one color is worked at a time, and proper tension is not hard to achieve. We will cast on a mosaic coaster to practice; pattern will be included. No homework. Class must have at least 2 students for the class to make.

It is easier than you think and works like magic! In this class, you will learn all the parts of a traditional cuff-down sock and the math to be able to knit it for any foot with any weight of yarn. You will knit a baby sock, step-by-step, from the heel flap and gusset to the toe decrease and graft to finish it. You will come away with a basic pattern and full instructions that you can use to make socks for anyone! This is the class Denise took to learn knitted socks. The orange sock in the picture is from this class. Denise chose to make a shorter leg.
