LEARN HOW TO CROCHET: THE BASICS I



This class is perfect for those who have never crocheted or have not crocheted in a long while and need a refresher. Participants are introduced to basic stitches, creating the foundation chain, changing colors, and weaving in ends. With a focus on learning how to follow a pattern, students will work up a small pouch with a button closure using what they learn in class.

 

Materials needed:

•          1 skein medium-worsted #4 acrylic 

•          1 – H-hook 5mm Boye crochet hook

•          1 – I-hook 5.5mm Boye crochet hook

•          scissors, stitch marker, yarn needle

Class must have at least 2 students to proceed. Must register for class ahead of time. Please be on time and ready to go. Class will start on time.

Instructor Bio: JoAnn has crocheted for almost 40 years and is a Level II Certified Crochet Instructor through the Craft Yarn Council. She is currently working toward her Masters of Advanced Stitches & Techniques through the Crochet Guild of America
